The Project:
On April 24, 2013, Werner and myself left for Johannesburg, South Africa.
Early next morning after landing, we drove to the Wonderboom airfield (FAWB),
north of Pretoria, to meet with Markus, the owner of "Bush Pilots Adventures".
for more details, visit:
http://www.bushpilot.co.za

During the following 2 days I did:
- the South African Civil Aviation Authority theoretical exam, with a 89% result
- a check flight on ZS-SPO, the Cessna 172 shown above, to convert the swiss pilot license
to a license from the South African Civil Aviation Authority,
and finally
- a check flight on ZS-IAE, the Cessna 182 shown below, which we flew on our "projectbig5africa"
Once this was done, we flew on April 29, 2013, with the C182 ZS-IAE to Barbeton, about 2 hours flight east of Wonderboom for another set of trainings.
The "Bush Pilot" training course is a 2 days training on a C172 with CC Pocock, a local specialist, see below how he describes the training:
And then we took off with ZS-IAE for 2 weeks, slightly more than 30 hours flight, to tour 5 countries.
